WELCOME
TO INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS - INDIAN SECTION
The International
College of Surgeons, Indian Section is part of a world wide
organization founded by Dr. Max Thorek in 1935 in Geneva & now
having its
headquarters in Chicago. It is composed of approximately 8,000 general
surgeons and
surgical specialists from over 100 countries. Members are organized
into 60 National
Sections, each directed by its own national officers.
The Indian Section has over 1200 fellows and has its headquarters in
Mumbai. All
specialists with post graduate degree in surgery or any of its allied
branches including
radiology & anaesthesia are eligible to become fellows of the Indian
Section. Apart
from the National Surgical Update every year, the Indian section regularly
conducts
an annual conference, various zonal conferences & Minimal Access
Surgery Courses. read more
