Guidelines for Research Grant:
Applications are invited for oncology research projects from any fellow of I.C.S. or a young surgeon who is not a member, but sponsored by a fellow of I.C.S or by the Dean or Head of the Institution. Preference will be given to fellows of the College.
The following details should be provided:
Regarding Applicant:
Name, age, sex, qualification, experience after post graduation, Status in the hospital.
Name of the senior person who will guide him, with his qualification and status and name of Institution.
Regarding Research Project:
1. Detailed Objective of the Project.
2. Material and methods.
3. Duration of project.
How the fund will be utilized. e.g for medicines, equipment, documentation, photography
for follow up of patients, clerical help, social, worker etc.
A sum of Rs.30000/- will be given in three equal installments of Rs.10000/- for the research project. The amount may be increased at the discretion of new selection committee board on the merits of the project.
The funds should be utilized for consumable items and not for capital equipment like typewriter, micro scope, personal computer etc.
A report will have to be submitted every six months about the progress of the project.
Projects on clinical research will be preferred to pure experimental work.
On completion of the project, a report will be presented at the annual meeting of the I.C.S. The final installment of Rs.10000/- will be paid after the presentation of report at the meeting with a copy of manuscript.
Written permission should be obtained before publication in the scientific journal and due acknowledgement made to the I.C.S. The applicant has to send six copies of his bio-data .
The last date for receiving applications is May 31, 2009.

Grants are provided for good research projects. Projects will be scrutinized by referees and accepted, based on their recommendations.
Scholarship Abroad: Scholarships of a maximum of $ 1500 are awarded by HQO Chicago. Apply to:
